Problem Statement

As Zimbabwe Renewal Network (ZRN), we have identified the following 6 underlying fundamental issues, at the core of the excessive suffering and brokenness afflicting our mother land Zimbabwe:

  • Disunity: As Zimbabweans we have lost our sense of oneness, togetherness, and love for fellow citizens. Consequently, brother is fighting and seeking to destroy or kill his brother, our institutions and public services are broken, and our economy and infrastructure delapidated.
  • Loss of Identity: We have lost our sense of who we are as a people, what we stand for, and have lost our core values and morals which previously held us together and sustained us.
  • Disinformation: Falsehoods have been injected into our subconscious, leaving us with a deep seated sense of self hate, inferiority, victim mentality, a skewed view and understanding of life, and a disconnect from reality.
  • Disempowerment of citizens: As a result we have been left feeling disillusioned and disempowered, incapable of fighting for what's rightfully ours, or even just fighting for our survival. We have submitted to the will and cruelty of those whom we should be holding to account.
  • Disempowerment of Women: With our mothers disempowered, the family unit has become incapacitated to provide the bare basics, let alone produce healthy robust members of society empowered to build and develop their communities and their nation.
  • Disownment of our Birthright: We no longer have a sense of ownership for our country, for its resources, and for our infrastructure, and public services. Therefore we watch unconcerned as they are looted and vandalised, oblivious to the fact that we are the ones who suffer when we allow these resources and infrastructure to be destroyed.

Consequently, we as Zimbabwe Renewal Network, have determined to tackle these problems head on, electing the 7 pillars of our organisation, namely Unity, Identity, Truth, Love, Enlightenment, Values, Citizens Empowerment, Women Empowerment, and Ownership. Through the reestablishment and reinforcement of these pillars of our society, we purpose to facilitate the self renewal of the Zimbabwean minds and simultaneously, the resolution of the above listed core underlying problems.

About Us

Zimbabwe Renewal Network (ZRN) is a non political civil society organisation established to facilitate the unification of the citizens of Zimbabwe, allowing them to build an identity, and establish their collective will as a people, and as a nation. ZRN aims to assist the citizens to address their mutual problems, while driving common goals and objectives as a unit, for the precipitation of a better livelihood and a better future for us all.

This we intend to achieve by establishing a community of like minded Zimbabweans, who have had enough of watching helplessly, and feeling disempowered while their country and their livelihood is destroyed. Zimbabweans who choose to combine efforts and resources which they can use to help each other and make their lives better. Citizens who prefer to be part of and contribute to build up a society which in turn can protect them, support them in difficult times, support their personal development undertakings and cushion them from the harsh reality of life in Zimbabwe.

Through various means, including information dissemination, and other endeavors that address issues faced by citizens in real time at grassroots level, ZRN seeks to motivate as well as empower citizens to take responsibility and control of their country, national resources and their joint future, and strive to influence and direct national processes and the development of legislature for their benefit and for the greater good of the country at large.

The ZRN in essence is merely an expeditor, offering to all citizens of Zimbabwe in and outside the country, a tool at their disposal, through which the citizens’ unified voice can be amplified and their will executed towards the establishment, and the sustainance of a new, great and progressive Zimbabwe.

Our Mission

Our mission is to establish and profer to the masses, a tool in the form of a Civil Society Organisation, purposed for application by the citizenry of Zimbabwe in the enlightenment, unification and progression of her people towards a new and improved Zimbabwe. A Zimbabwe with an elevated consciousness, and substantial knowledge and understanding of life and of self. A woke Zimbabwe driven by a spirit of love and togetherness as well as a shared common will for a better future for all Zimbabweans.

Our Vision

We envision a Zimbabwe where all citizens are unified by a sense of identity as part of 1 whole. Where every citizen knows and understands their rights as well as their duties and obligations as offspring of Zimbabwe:

  • Their rights: Their rights to get the basics they need to survive and thrive in life from their mother land, because there is no other place they could get them, if not from the land that birthed them. And also their rights to get their fair share of their country's resources.
  • Their duty: Their duty and obligation to take responsibility for the wellbeing and progress of their communities and their country, understanding that noone else can take that responsibility for us. Understanding that we are the only ones who can strive and fight for our progress and welfare, and that if we don't do it, noone else will.

Indeed, we envision a Zimbabwe where citizens have love one for another and for their country. Where decisions and actions are centered around our common good and a better tomorrow for us all.
